Answer Section:
What type of package do I need?
Intermech offers a wide range of packages to suit all your CNG compression requirements. Some packages are more cost effective in some areas. For instance if your gas price is very cheap and your electricity is very expensive or unreliable you would probably find it cheaper to use our gas engine package. For an accurate cost analysis for your site, submit an enquiry on this website and one of our sales engineers will contact you to arrange a one on one consultation in a few days.
How much capacity do I need?
Capacity depends on how many vehicles you need to fill – especially in peak times. Having sufficient capacity will ensure minimal queuing and maximum gas sale profit at your station.
Where is Intermech?
Intermech is located in New Zealand – see our news page for pictures of our brand new plant in Highbrook Auckland, opened by the Prime Minister of New Zealand - the Right Honorable Helen Clark.
What is a mother/daughter station system and how does it work?
CNG stations can be online, mother or daughter stations. Online stations compress the gas from the gas line pressure up to your required outlet pressure (usually 250 or 310 barG). When a dispensing station is not on a gas line it has to have gas supplied via a storage truck. To achieve this efficiently IM pioneered the so called mother/daughter system. This system incorporates a mother station located on the gas line, which compresses gas into storage trucks that transport it to the ‘daughter’ station. Once at the destination the gas is fed into the daughter station compressor for storage or vehicle filling.
