The thermodynamic calculations involved in compressor and compressor solution design are some of the most challenging of any professional field. Intermech’s founder Hugh Fulton understands these calculations and based on his understanding and extensive analysis, our Rhino compressor was devised. This undercurrent of deep understanding is what allows our team of engineers to maintain Intermech as the pioneer of CNG solutions.

Due to the extremely high pressure and volatile nature of CNG there is no room for error. Therefore at Intermech we have always demanded only the best from all our engineers. The result of this excellence is displayed in all our products.

We continue to be leaders in safety, environmental consideration and cost effectiveness. A perfect example of this is the time proven Rhino compressor. Specifically designed to run directly from any prime mover, electric or gas without the need for an inefficient belt reduction drive, the Rhino also features a sealed crank case for zero wasted gas giving maximum safety, less green house gas emissions and cheaper running costs. The new FBR package with its massive compression capacity – up to 6000Sm3/hr - is another example of Intermech’s continuing commitment to striving for ideal CNG solutions for ever changing market demands.

This continual development of new and innovative ideas maintains Intermech’s position at the forefront of CNG technology worldwide. Our engineering team works with the latest CAD/CAE software and hardware and also closely with our in-house compressor package safety and performance testing department. The essence of our excogitation philosophy is to understand both the customer requirements and also the fundamental principles behind each design. This always lets us provide optimal engineered solutions perfectly suited to any application.

Intermech design engineers are all dedicated specialists, of high caliber in their profession, each passionate for engineering the best possible solutions.
