The new Highbrook factory was opened by the Prime Minister of New Zealand - the Right Honorable Helen Clark.

2006
The FBR range of machines was introduced. Capable of 20,000lb rod load and 450kW at 1800rpm; a complete range of FBR compressors is now available to meet any requirement form bus or truck filling to large capacity mother stations.

2005
Atlas Copco acquired 100% of Intermech.

2003
Major shipments made to Iranian Fuel Conservation Organisation and Mahanagar gas (MGL).

1996-97
Hugh Fulton purchased pressure control technology / engineering, and agreed to a technology transfer with Kwangshin.

1995
Mother daughter system installed in Surabaya, Indonesia.

1994
Intermech pioneered a mother-daughter system in the North-Western Chinese gas field which experienced temperatures of -40°C to +40°C Intermech has also engineered similar systems in New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

1992-93
The Rhino compressor was developed, which incorporated higher speed, a direct coupled pressurized crank case and non cooled cylinders. The BBR crank case forms the heart of today’s product range. BBR blocks are capable of 12,000lb rod load and 235kW at 1800rpm.

1985
Development of a new dynamically balanced, horizontally opposed, low rpm 2 throw design (2CH).

1980
The 'W' type range was eventually developed to have increased capacity utilising double acting cylinders and non cooled technology.

1978
The founder of Intermech - Hugh Fulton - under the prescon label began packaging compressors specifically for CNG.
